Short film “961” awarded in Hollywood

At the 4th Hollywood DV Festivals, ending on April 1, 2007, the short film “961” by Pierre-Adrian Irlé and Valentin Rotelli won the prize as Best Short Film in the category “Romance/Love”. The Swiss contribution competed against 120 films from all over the world.
The jury at the Californian festival, during which exclusively Digital Video and High Definition-Format films of various genres and lengths are shown, gives their explanatory statement as follows: "961 is an excellent and stylish narrative short with an outstanding cinematography that deeply exploited the possibilities of the HDV format." The two Genevan film directors were able to receive the statuette personally. In addition, the film’s cinematography was nominated for Best Picture.



The 17 minute-long short film describes the ambiguous relationship of Alice and Raphaël, a young man and woman, and is subtly accompanied by stringed instruments.
