This portrait of Albert Hofmann, who is first and foremost known as the inventor of LSD, focuses primarily on the chemist’s relationship to his drug, his viewpoints and various developments since he discovered LSD. Using pictures taken at conferences as well as from Swiss and American film archives, the film explores the background of this adventure and how it has continued in present day, for example, with the use of LSD in psychotherapy in Solothurn.
