For 200 years Jews living in Switzerland were confined to just two villages, Endingen and Lengnau, in the Surb valley of Aargovia canton. It was not until 1866 that Swiss citizens who happened to be Jewish were granted equality and allowed to live wherever they chose. This film sheds light on the history of these Jewish villages and gives a portrait of Jews who are still attached to Endingen and Lengnau today.
