Portrayals of the “foreign” chafe against new and unconventional viewpoints of the familiar. The intertwining of these idea-encumbered motifs creates uncommon associations between the familiar and the foreign, an isolated case and a universal problem. It seeks to provide a means of escape from thinking in terms of opposites and provokes an examination of the mechanisms of self-discovery. In this manner this film project attempts to transform consequential problem situations into probing images, unlocking new dimensions of emotions by means of imagery.
