The doctor's diagnosis couldn't have been more clear or precise: he's gradually going to lose his sight until he becomes totally blind. Arsène Klop, actor, show-off, bubbling over with life, cannot accept this inescapable blackness that is about to overtake him. He doesn't want it, rebels and cries out against it, doesn't understand this trail & tribulation that life has imposed on him! For this man, as for each one of us, the loss of one of the senses is an attack on his daily life, his habits, his relationships with other people, with things, with space and spaces, with street-life, and of course, with his life as an actor. So Arsène restructures his future and invents memories, both happy and painful. Beauty alternates with the less than attractive; laughter with tears, humour with cynicism.
