A portrait of Niklaus Troxler, a Swiss graphic designer and event manager who led the renowned Jazz festival in Willisau from 1975 to 2009. His legendary posters are not only to be seen in New York’s Museum of Modern Art, but also on LP-covers of celebrities such as Thelonious Monk or Irène Schweizer. Through personal conversations, statements of prominent companions, private archive material, together with impressions of concerts and of the festival, the film reflects sociocultural change since the 1970’s. A tribute to a passionately dedicated, wilful and original creative personality who truly is inspired by his art and by Jazz.
