Chris, an ageing artist, is on his way to Italy. He goes to his rustico in the narrow Ticino valley, where he wants to retreat and reflect. In the house, he meets Nico, a young farmer with a zest for life who would like to travel but cannot. Living together proves to be difficult. The creative work in nature and the sensual, erotic attraction of Nico open up new horizons for Chris to find his way out of his crisis.
