Stefania Burla
Screenwriter, Director, Cinematographer
Born in 1988 in Basel, Switzerland. She is a Polish-Swiss filmmaker. She worked in theatre for several years. 2012-15 she completed a Bachelor's degree in communication and film studies at the University of Zurich. 2017-2022 she studied film at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). In 2019 she did an exchange at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Her graduation film MACIERZ (engl.: MOTHERLAND) screened at several international festivals and won the Grand Prize - Filmmaker of the Future Award at Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival. In 2023 she started her MFA in film directing at ZHdK.
